Delete your account or data
- Open the Gurr app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. This permanently removes your profile, trip history, friend connections, and stops any active live location shares.
Can’t get into the app? Email xdniklaus@gmail.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete your data — we’ll confirm once it’s done. See our Privacy Policy for what deletion covers.
Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my account?
Open the Gurr app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, and confirm. This permanently removes your profile, trip history, friend connections, and any live shares in progress. If you can't access the app, email us and we'll delete it for you.
How do I turn off contacts matching or live location sharing?
Go to Settings → Privacy in the app. Contacts matching and live location sharing are both off by default and can be toggled at any time. Turning off contacts matching stops your hashed contacts from being sent to our servers; ending a live share stops your real-time location from being visible to friends.
I didn't get an SMS code for my phone number — is that expected?
Yes. Gurr stores the phone number you add to your profile so friends can find you, but it does not send an SMS verification code to confirm ownership of that number.
How do I report a bug or an issue with a trip, map, or notification?
Email us at xdniklaus@gmail.com with your account email, the device and app version you're using, and what happened. Screenshots help a lot.
